Food is a *bit* basic, and the wine list is pretty limited. Music on Saturday night is nice, though they add an entertainment charge to the check for it. Unfortunately, happy hour offers are limited to the bar so you can't watch the band and do happy hour (though you can probably still somewhat hear them).

It is always a pleasure eating at Alfio's. My only regret is that in spite of the fact that I walked past it for many years during my weekday walks to and from the subway, I didn't "discover" it until shortly before I moved away from the area, clear across the country.

The prices are not consistent. I was charged $18 for a bowl of plain pasta. No sauce. Nothing. I got charged the amount it would cost with meat sauce. There is a waiter there who is extremely dishonest and charges more than he should at …
